Muriel Barnier is the SPE CEDEP iOGP Safety Leadership Program Director and co-founder of SynapsCoLearning, a company dedicated to learning and engagement in HSE (Health,Safety, Environment) and Leadership.

She has years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She started in the SustainabilityDepartment where she developed the global award-winning program HSE forYouth, won the first IOGP Outstanding Young Professional Award, became the global head of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Training &Communications at Schlumberger and manager of Schlumberger SAFE, which won the CEO Award in 2019.

Muriel combines program designing, consulting, coaching, and teaching in HSE and Leadership.Her clients are mainly in heavy industries such as oil & gas and mining.She is recognized for her ability to challenge the status quo and think outside of the box.
